Remeselny dvor is located in historical famous building The Ocova mill, which was firstly named The Kovac mill. That mill was builded in 1918. The smithery was part of the mill, where the master blacksmiths teached new generation of young blacksmith. The power , which the mill needed , it had from water from its own mill traction, which it is still working and in nowadays is in using for small hydroelectric power plant by The Remeselny dvor. The mill traction flows through across whole village Ocova and it takes water from small river Hucava in her part named Harajec, where was located as well another water mill The Buckov mill. Except for these mills in Ocova not far away from evangelical church was another water mill named Rajcokov mill, which is now demolished.
The Kovac mill was fully electrificated before The World War II and the motion was still on until 1954 and until 1975 mill scraped compound feed. Then later on the building of mill was in use by company Podpolianske strojarne Detva as storehouse. After the removal of mill technology happened failure of statics and later small breakdown of building. The village Ocova became owner of the bulding in year 1996 after privatization of PPS Detva. The current shape of Remeselny dvor is since 2008 after huge reconstruction from Structural funds of EU, National budget of SR and the village Ocova in amount 813 500 Euro. In years 2012 and 2013 were reconstructed outbuildings and courtyard. On the place of old mill –wheel is its imitation of wheel.
The building of previous Kovac mill is now residence of The Remeselny dvor and as well residence of Obecne sluzby Ocova, which provides services and looks after the old skills of grandparents will be teached to new generation of young people in Ocova and surroundings areas.
